Meditation
Behold Jesus crucified!
Behold his wounds received for love of me!
His whole appearance shows love.
His head is bent to kiss me,
his arms are extended to embrace me,
his heart is open to receive me.
What tremendous love that Jesus should die on the Cross
that I, a wretched sinner, should live
and be freed from everlasting death.
Prayer
O most lovable Jesus!
Who will enable me to die for love of You?
I will at least try to die to the world.
How trifling does the world and its vanities appear to me
as I see You hanging on the Cross,
covered with wounds, poor and despised.
O Jesus, receive me into your wounded heart
that I may never leave You,
that I may live and die for You alone.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be...
