Meditation
These devout women, moved by compassion,
weep over our Savior.
But He turns to them and says,
“Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me,
but weep for yourselves and for your children.”
Well should I weep because of my many repeated sins.
Nothing will bring me greater blessings
than true sorrow for my sins.
Prayer
O Jesus!
Who will give me grief of heart,
so that day and night I may weep for my sins?
I beseech You,
through your bitter and bloody tears,
to move my stony heart by your divine grace
so that all the days of my life
I may weep over your sufferings,
and their cause, my sins.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be...
