Meditation
How painful and sad
was the meeting of Mary, the sorrowful Mother,
and her beloved Son on his way to Calvary.
What grief pierced her tender heart!
How she longed to die in place of Jesus,
or at least with Him.
Prayer
O Jesus and Mary!
I am the cause of your great sufferings,
O, that my heart might not remain cold,
but might feel some of your suffering.
O, dear Mother,
pray that I may partake in your suffering
and that of your divine Son.
Help me now,
that I may enjoy your assistance at the moment of my death.
Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be...
